Fancy Friday Japanese.
Who would of thought that I had the energy to keep playing the game after I told Elie we were going to have steak and potatoes tonight... it must be the competitive flare still inside me... so I turned basic meal into Japanese...yippee!!! Ok, so maybe it was only Andy and I savoring every bite but the two young girls (my babies) felt the asian mo-jo... Hannah was absent due to a basketball game thing that high school people attend:)
Basic turned into this:
Ginger Steak
Wasabi Mash Potatoes
Asian Sesame Green Beans
I must say, the meal was exquisite. Would have been better sans the kids:)
Each recipe came from Allrecipes.com so if you're curious, I will send you there. The wine is keeping me from promptly writing them out.
Well, the week is winding down in Japan. Kids are getting anxious to move onto Italy. We have one more night in Japan which will either be a continued passion for new food or a restaurant.
Life otherwise was our normal. Fridays are always busy, everyone feels tired. We're excited to have no real schedule this weekend, other than Katy gets to participate in a toy research project where she walks away with a $20 toy for her participation! Oh, and girls have to swim at 6am tomorrow....now I 'm smiling:)
